Inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, Assembling the Imperfect, Peace by Peace explores the idea that what has been broken does not need to be hidden. A heart composed of individual puzzle pieces is incomplete, fractured, and still being assembled, with gold ink tracing the connections between its pieces.

The work is about change, repair, and finding beauty in our imperfections while slowly making peace with the pieces that shaped us.
