Sunrise Cave

I’m a beach lover and water sign by design. I love the dichotomy of the ocean, both it’s power and it’s calming abilities. When I set out to create a beach scene, I needed something that also reflected my own dichotomy – the need to be in the sun while also keeping myself hidden. This scene depicts a beautiful golden sunrise on a beach…but from the confines of a cave. The viewer is forced into looking out into the world from the safety of the darkness. This is how I live.
